Hi all,
Just a few words to introduce myself to the forum. I belong to a number of car clubs and I am a frequent visitor to the Triumph Sport Six Club (TSSC) forum. This is a mature forum that has proved to be extemely useful for obtaining advice & information from other members, particularly technical. It can also be very humorous from time to time! I hope this forum will develop in the same way.
For my own part, I completed the restoration and modification of my GT6 about a year ago with the intention of entering speed events. Unfortunately, I was made redundant and everything went on hold until my circumstances were improved. Nonetheless, I volunteered to marshall at a few events (Wiscombe & Longleat) so that I could "network" with members and generally learn the ropes. This turned out to be an excellent idea and I would encourage any newcomer to try it before competing. I eventually managed to enter the Longleat Hillclimb in September and it was a huge thrill. I was embarrasingly slow, but I am determined to improve. I hope to be out a lot more next season (certainly at the Wiscombe & Gurston events) to work on my times. I'm trying not to mess with the car too much, as it is me that needs improving!
I look forward to talking to you all on this forum and to meeting up on the hills.
