Hi Tony,

I just brought a Clio Williams 1 (1994).
Looking to enter Road Going Class, probably at Gurston/Wiscombe next year.
As I been out of Hillclimb for about 4 yrs I lost touch on what I need to do the Clio. I don't have an up-to-date Blue Book to check.

Do I need any form of cage to be fitted?
What list of tyres can I use?

Any other snippets I need to be aware of,

Cheers,
Simon.

Simon,

Life has not changed that much since you have been out, welocme back.

Things to as do as a minmum are as follows for a road going car run in aroad going class, which is taxed MOT'd (if applicable) and insured at the time of the event:

1. Timing strut.
2. Label on ignition switch to point to off direction.
3. Yellow tape on battery lead.
4. cars made after 31-12-99 need a catolytic converter.
5. Oil catch tank for the engine if the breather does not recirulate directly back into the engine somewhere.
6. BS6658 Type A helmets are NOT legal after 31-12-2009.
7. You can use the existing drivers seat and seat belt, you do NOT have to change to a harness, but you can if you want to.
8. Renew MSA licence.
9. Renew club membership.
10. Put entry in and enjoy.

Any queries or problems please come back to me.

Cheers,

Tony.
