Thoroughly enjoyable event, as always at Wiscombe when the weather holds, which at least it did for the driving, if not the drinking session! Conditions certainly got pretty good for the final runs.

Thanks of course to all those folks who work so hard to make it happen. Cheers.

Wilt!

Some more comments on our hillclimb at Wiscombe, please note I have removed then names.

Hi Gwyneth,
Thanks for the results & also a big thank you to you & the Woolbridge Club for a great weekend at Wiscombe. The weather was kind on Saturday but it must have taken some organizing to get the rain to stop in the early hours of Sunday morning & then get the sun to come out!! Not sure how you did that but I’m grateful that you did, as although the car is still relatively new to me, I was able to record my quickest time so far.
See you at the Five Clubs meeting.
Best Regards

Thanks to you all. I hope you had a good Sunday as well. Sorry that my Dad couldn’t come back in the end either. As you probably heard, we found one of the engine mounting bolts underneath the car in the paddock! Very lucky really that we spotted it. But anyway, it involved taking the engine out to fix it so not an easy job. I’ll be checking website everyday for the Longleat regs and hope to see you there and that your leg gets better in the meantime.
Thanks again,

HI Gwyneth
Didn’t get the chance to catch up with you over the weekend, just wanted to say what a fabulous weekend even the weather was kind to us.
Paddock a little on the soggy side – especially when getting the trailers out – Rod Thorne saved the day for us and some of our fellow competitors who really had no chance of getting their trailers out. Another chap also helped with his 4 x 4, although I think the waiting list was extensive – their help was very much appreciated.
I was really pleased that I managed to stay on the black stuff as I hadn’t raced at Wiscombe since last July.
Well done for a well organised meeting.
Kind regards

Gwyneth, Thanks for the results - found them last night - ever so efficient as ever.
Another great weekend (a bit protracted for us mere mortals, but well worth the wait) with the weather gods smiling on us - thanks to everyone. Just one little complaint - the timing printer at the top ran out of paper very early on and the printer ink was so tired that we had to rely on those with younger eyes to interpret the results!
Look forward to seeing everyone in September
Best wishes

Thanks Gwyneth. Thanks to all involved in running what was a very enjoyable event. See you at Longleat.

Gwyneth
Thank you very much for all your hard work in making my first visit to Wiscombe so enjoyable. I thought the event was very well organised.
We were pretty lucky with the weather considering what it has been like.
Best wishes

Gwyneth, We had another wonderful weekend at Wiscombe. Due in no small measure to all the hard work put in by the Woolbridge team. Once again, many thanks.

Gwyneth,
Thanks for the good organisation despite the difficult weather conditions. It was good to see the championship contenders competing at Wiscombe.
Best Regards

Hi Gwyneth,
Our thanks to you and all the hard working Woolbridge at Wiscombe Team for another very enjoyable event at this super venue. So much hard work goes into these events, not just on the day, but several days either side so that we, the competitors, can have a great time.
We really do appreciate all your efforts. Super results service as ever Merv - thanks.
Regards,

Gwyneth,
Thanks for these (the results), and for a good event.
My first time at Wiscombe for c15 years hopefully it won't be as long before next time,

A cracking event once again.

Great to see Wilt giving it his all but i was atonished that the Nationals were a clear 2s faster Shocked

I absolutely love this form of motorsport as most competitors are more than willing to have a chat in the paddock - a far cry from other events!

Well done and thankyou to the Team that organises the event, its a top day out Smile
